BCAA Mission Statment
The Barat College Alumni Association seeks to:

  • Renew and perpetuate the friendships formed during the college years;
  • Facilitate alumni involvement in programs and initiatives that perpetuate the Heritage & Legacy of our alma mater;
  • Enhance recognition of the Barat Education Foundation among the alumni and the community at large;
  • Provide financial and volunteer support to the Barat Education Foundation, as Barat’s principal advocate and custodian of the Barat Scholars Endowment;
  • Promote the core values and philosophy that characterize a Sacred Heart education including: an active spirituality, a deep respect for intellectual values, a social awareness which impels to action, the building of community as a value, and a personal growth in an atmosphere of wise freedom.

Members of the Barat College Alumni Association Board serve a two-year term, and they may be re-nominated for the same position for up to two terms. Number of Members: the Alumni Board shall consist of a minimum of 10 members and not more than 25 members to include the officers and directors of the Association. Meetings: in addition to an Annual Meeting, the Board shall meet at least four times a year at the call of the Board Chair(s) or at the request of any four directors. The Annual Meeting of the Board will take place in the spring of each year and will be set to coincide with the Alumni Association Annual Meeting/Event.

 

How do I request my transcript?

Barat College graduates can continue to request their transcripts for Barat College and Barat College of DePaul University degrees through the Academic Resource Center at DePaul University. Official Transcripts are available for a fee and can be requested by fax, mail and in-person. The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 prohibits release of confidential transcript information without a student signature; therefore transcript requests will not be accepted by email or phone, and cannot be processed through the Barat Education Foundation.
